November 2017: Exploration, Wholeness, & Contribution
“I deeply value making a contribution that makes the world a better place in which to live.”[1]

Welcome to a cosmically supported season of intensity designed to facilitate tremendous healing. Both the astrology and numerology emphasize the powerful opportunities open to us right now.

Writing about this month’s energy did not flow easily. As I struggled to reconcile the spectrum of interpretations of November’s numerology, I realized I was experiencing the extraordinary dynamic represented in the number ‘21’.

Since I was a young girl, I have been deeply connected to the idea that we are here to ‘create a better world or at least leave it a better place than how we found it.’ Being born during the Vietnam conflict, a war that tore apart our country and my family, I figured I could at least strive for something better in my lifetime. I have not always been able to live up to that intention, but it is what gives me energy when I am weary and uncertain about my path and purpose. Ultimately, I know I want to ‘make a contribution’ that is opens pathways for healing (Chiron in Pisces!).

I was also born during the Uranus-Pluto conjunction years – an era of the revolutionary evolutionary. The sixties began an internal revolution that externalized and created powerful changes in our world. I am grateful for growing up during a transformational time.

We have revisited some of this astrological energy in various forms over these last years with some of us feeling that our world is unrecognizable or at least not what we thought it would be…

“What am I to do now?” is a question I hear quite often. Everyone I speak to wants a more safe, more loving, and more ‘beyond tolerant’ society in which to thrive.

These are big questions. Astrology and Numerology – natal charts and transits – offer possibilities, ideas, and some direction.

The opportunity this month is to remember what inspires you. How do you want the world to ‘be’ in your lifetime and beyond? What choices do you want make that allow you to “explore the unknown”[2] and make your contribution?

Many have experienced a lot of loss over the last few months. Grieving what has changed or what is gone is very important – a step that while not always easy – is vital to healing.

Right now, this month, the cosmic compass points us in the direction of global contribution and healing.

I do believe that wholeness and healing starts at home in our families and communities. And of course, we do need to start with ourselves.

The cosmic energy of November reminds us that we are here on this planet to experience life in all its forms. As individuals, we share our unique expression as a way of being ‘a part of’ something ‘bigger’. Feeling that we belong on this planet or in this life is part of the gift of this month. Our reciprocity is our contribution to our families, friends, communities, and global connections.

Our journey here is to experience all aspects of ‘being human’ which, by definition, includes suffering, loss, change, joy, ecstasy, bliss, peace, delight, and so much more!

With all the technology we have now, we can literally see someone on the other side of the world in real time. We can see their pain, their joy.

Acknowledging suffering and challenge is actually a powerful step on the path to sustainable peace, optimism and joy.

Let us focus on feeling the richness of this tapestry of life. Let’s expand our awareness and connection to include all human beings – we are all in this together!

  • What are some ways you can celebrate the human experience?
  • What are some aspects of your life that feel connected to a greater whole?
  • Where are you as an individual contributing to the ‘world’?
  • How might you contribute more?
  • If you travel this month, how might you ‘bring back’ part of your experience and integrate that into your everyday life?
  • What are you grateful for right now?
