This new moon in Aquarius arrives at a time where many of us want to know more about the path forward. We long for more conscious and loving community where all feel included and safe. In many ways, this moon takes us back to the basics – an understanding of the messages that the Cosmos gives us each month.

This year, we deepen into healing with the “evolutionary intention…to teach the heart freedom and authenticity.”[1]

Aquarian energies create pathways that open portals to treasures beyond imagination. These gifts open us in ways that allow our vision to expand and our hearts to see what more is possible in the future realms and parallel realities.

We are invited to consider how we can create a better, more sustainable, more awake future for ourselves and many generations beyond us.

An intriguing accompaniment to this new moon is the Pluto-Mercury conjunction in Aquarius at the same time as the new moon. Opening to messages of support, hope, understanding and individual expression are even more supported this year. During the week of the new moon, listening to what is moving through us is vital.

With Jupiter trine this new moon, so much is possible! Opportunities to open to new and unique ideas expand our consciousness. There are blessings embedded in this new moon for all of us. As we set our intentions, they can move with more grace and abundance for all.

The supreme beauty of Aquarius is the expansiveness offered to our minds through unusual, unexpected, and unpredictable experiences, relationships, and events.

Aquarians (and those with Aquarius moons, rising signs or prominent Uranus (modern ruler of Aquarius) placements) are known for their commitment to humanitarian projects. They believe in love for all beings. They are unwavering in their philosophies of ecological responsibility that includes the wise use of technology and beyond.

They walk a path that includes the unconventional.

They trust in the future because they sense it long before it arrives.

Personal awakenings are possible on day of the new moon or right before or after. This will look different for each of us. The collective energy is deep and one that allows us to see through the shadows so we can find the best path to the next stage of healing/resolving the challenges we face. Some of those challenges mirror the shadow qualities of an Aquarius moon which include a coolness and a detachment from what is needed in the collective for the sake of individual freedom. We can look within ourselves to see where we have disconnected out of a need for freedom but forgotten that true freedom includes everyone.

Aquarius energy is electric, and the image above really exemplifies the power of yin/yang and light/dark. But with Aquarius, there is not as much polarity as there is inclusiveness. You cannot have one without the other.
